Educating About Employment Law

Neil Wilson, Employment Law specialist at Chadwick Lawrence

Chadwick Lawrence is celebrating its success in advising the region on Employment Law, having delivered seminars to over 300 people in the last twelve months.

The free of charge seminars are aimed at businesses in West Yorkshire, and provide valuable advice and insights into Employment Law. Delegates from almost 200 businesses in the region have attended these events in the last year and given outstanding feedback.

Topics covered included; The Equality Act and Your Business – Are you compliant?

Employment Tribunal Cases – The Real Damage to your Business, The Importance of Investigations and Managing Long Term Absence.

Some of the delegates already subscribe to the Chadwick Lawrence Employer Support Pack – a fixed price comprehensive package of support measures designed to help businesses work through employment issues and problems – whilst others are local businesses wrestling with the intricacies of Employment Law

Feedback to the seminars has been excellent, with positive comments on the structure, clarity and relevant content of the sessions. Delegates felt that they took away new knowledge and that the short seminars were extremely worthwhile.

Neil Wilson, Employment Law specialist at Chadwick Lawrence said: “The seminar programme is an excellent way to provoke thought about Employment Law. It’s an area of legislation that is constantly evolving and often people who think they are well informed haven’t quite kept up with the latest developments. We can shed light on what’s new and what’s in the pipeline. It’s also a great networking opportunity and popularity continues to increase.”

As one delegate said: “At Chadwick Lawrence there’s always a friendly face to greet you so you’re never left to feel awkward. The feel of the event is that a lot of effort has been put into its organisation, ensuring that the content is always fully covered and that the speaker always keeps to time – a great advantage when there are urgent work matters to get back to.”

Chadwick Lawrence is so encouraged that the team is already planning 2012’s seminar programme.
