Trent joined Chadwick Lawrence in 2025, after graduating with his LLB Law degree from the University of York. As a paralegal in the litigation and dispute resolution team, Trent is gaining significant expertise in complex litigation with particular focus on construction and property law.
Trent is involved daily in advising and assisting various clients from both the corporate and private sectors. He is a dedicated and detail-oriented paralegal with a proven ability to support complex legal matters from inception to resolution.
Trent has gained wide-ranging and vital experience in dealing with legal issues relating to –
– Disputes arising within the construction industry involving developers, builders, subcontractors, land/homeowners, and third-party professionals such as consultants, architects, and surveyors;
– Issues related to contract breaches, construction defects, payment disputes and project delays;
– Alternative Dispute Resolution methods such as mediation, arbitration and adjudication;
– Residential and commercial property disputes from landlord-tenant disputes to commercial lease issues;
– Providing comprehensive case management, including document review and preparation, legal research, drafting pleadings, maintaining case files and preparations for hearings and settlement negotiations.
Before joining Chadwick Lawrence, and in order to support his studies, Trent worked on construction sites. This hands-on experience gave him valuable exposure to the real-world issues faced by his construction clients—along with the ability to carry a lot of bricks. It’s a background that continues to inform his practical and grounded approach to advising his clients.
Trent is looking to continue his professional development and begin his Solicitor Qualification Exams in order to take the next step in progressing his career. Outside of his love for the law, Trent enjoys watching football, playing guitar and a sunny day in his local beer garden.
