Hosting a Special Evening with Dan Carter
Chadwick Lawrence Sponsors a Special Evening with Dan Carter
We were delighted to sponsor a special event with one of rugby union’s most accomplished players – ‘An Evening with Dan Carter’ – at the Howard Suite at AMT Headingley Stadium on 6 March.
Guests had the unique opportunity to speak directly with Carter and capture the moment with a photo, receive a signed copy of his book, and engage in a Q&A session – gaining fascinating insights into his journey to international success.
From his iconic role as fly-half to a record-breaking career that includes two Rugby World Cup victories and three IRB Player of the Year awards, Carter shared stories from a career that has cemented his place among rugby union’s greats.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, he remains the highest points scorer in international rugby union history.
As told in his new book, ‘The Art of Winning’, Carter believes that winning is more of an art than a strategy. He summarises his learnings through ten lessons in leadership, purpose and potential.
In an insightful session, Carter explored just some of the beliefs and mindsets that have propelled him and the All-Blacks team to international success. This included building collective purpose, using the knowledge of your past to create meaning in your culture and success, viewing pressure as a privilege, using setbacks to build resilience, and bringing your real self to play – whether on or off the pitch.
By sharing his knowledge and experience, Carter aims to open the doors to the culture of excellence that is the All Blacks and share the lessons and tools he took through his 18 years of playing professional rugby.
As the exclusive partner of this event, we were proud to strengthen our long-standing commitment to professional sport. In partnership with ‘What Makes Them Tick’, the team behind ‘The Extra Mile with Kevin Sinfield’, it was a pleasure to welcome Dan Carter to Leeds and to the home of the Rhinos.
Through our work in regulatory, HR, corporate and commercial, commercial property, dispute resolution and personal legal services, we continue to support players, staff and clubs in navigating the complexities of professional sport.
