Dangerous Driving

Dangerous driving is a serious charge. It means that the police believe that your driving amounted to conduct falling far below that of a competent and careful driver and it was obvious that your driving was dangerous.

Dangerous driving is what is known as an “either way” offence which means that the magistrates can send you to the Crown Court to be convicted. The Crown Court has far more power in terms of sentences it can give.

If you are found guilty of dangerous driving then you will be banned from driving for at least a year, but your driving ban can be of any additional length if found serious enough. There is also a chance that you could be sent to prison.

It is therefore vitally important that you take advice as quickly as possible in order that we can help assist you with the allegation you face and to ensure the best possible outcome.

For details of our prices for this area of work please see Miscellaneous Driving Offences although please note these prices only apply to the Magistrates’ Court.
