Dean Clough Breakfast Event
Chadwick Lawrence have joined forces with Dean Clough Limited to launch a new networking breakfast club at the Dean Clough complex in Halifax. The inaugural meeting took place on 2nd May at the Stodfold pub and was fully subscribed.
Chadwick Lawrence relocated its Halifax office to the old Fire Station at Dean Clough in November last year.
Dean Clough was once the home of Crossleys Carpets and at one time was the largest carpet manufacturer in the world. The site was saved from demolition by Sir Ernest Hall in the early 1980s. Now, under the guidance of his son, Jeremy Hall, the managing director of Dean Clough Limited, the Grade II site has been developed and transformed into a fantastic complex that is home to businesses, restaurants, salons, retail and six private galleries.
Nick Worsnop, partner at Chadwick Lawrence, said; “One of the ideas we had when we moved to Dean Clough was to begin a networking forum for all of the many diverse businesses who are based here. We believe that there are many opportunities for them to work together and interact. Having spoken with Jeremy Hall he had the same view. We therefore agreed to promote the idea as a joint venture. We intend to make this a regular monthly event on the first Thursday of each month. It will be exciting to see how it will develop and grow.”
“It appears to have been well received. We hope that those who attended will spread the word and we get even more of the businesses based here involved.”
There are over 150 businesses based at Dean Clough ranging from start ups to those employing more than 1000 people. The Dean Clough website is www.deanclough.com
