Financial Director Joins Chadwick Lawrence Team

Chadwick Lawrence Solicitors have confirmed the appointment of a new Finance Director, who has joined the business on a permanent basis as of May 2018.

Having previously worked with the legal firm on a consultant basis, Jon Oliver has been a strong presence at Chadwick Lawrence since May 2016 when he first began working with the firm.

Initially, he was tasked with completely revamping Chadwick Lawrence’s finance function to support the firm’s growth strategy. Jon immediately set about creating a brand new credit control function, running financial workshops for fee earners, and introducing more appropriate KPIs to support solid economic foundations and growth targets, outlined by the Partners of the firm.

Chadwick Lawrence set out a 5 year growth plan in April 2014, which they have managed to achieve over a year ahead of target.  They have recently set a further 5 year strategy to continue the growth of the legal practice and help to deliver their vision to be the best legal practice in West Yorkshire.

Jon Oliver commented “We have made great progress on the finance front in the last two years, and have created a first class finance team who enjoy supporting the rest of the business.

“Cash collection is excellent, WIP and debtor days have improved significantly such that we have seen lock up reduce by in excess of 100 days and the firm’s debt structure improve significantly.”
