Chadwick Lawrence Sponsors Yorkshire Physical Disability Rugby League Shirts
Chadwick Lawrence is proud to continue its commitment to rugby league and community sport by sponsoring the Yorkshire Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) team. Our contribution will go towards providing the squad with new training shirts, shorts, and travel wear, with the Chadwick Lawrence logo proudly featuring on the sleeve.
The Yorkshire side will soon take part in an exciting Tri-Series against Lancashire, with matches scheduled over the next couple of months. One of the fixtures will be held at Headingley Stadium in September, offering a fantastic opportunity to showcase the sport on one of rugby league’s biggest stages.
This latest sponsorship builds on our long-standing relationship with the Leeds Rhinos and the Leeds Rhinos Foundation. We are already a shirt sponsor of the Leeds Rhinos PDRL team and also support their player and our Head of IT, Dan Bell, by helping to cover their equipment, travel, and playing kit.
Dan Bell comments on the sponsorship: “As a PDRL player, I’ve seen firsthand the difference corporate support can make. Rugby has always been a passion of mine, and I’m incredibly grateful for Chadwick Lawrence’s ongoing commitment to our team. The firm believes in giving back to the community and supporting one another, both inside and outside the workplace, and this sponsorship is a perfect example of that ethos in action.”
Alan Remonds, Coach of the Yorkshire PDRL team, added: “The mediquip cup is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the skills of our Physical Disability Rugby League players whilst also rekindling the historical rivalry of Yorkshire V Lancashire. As coaches we have the privilege of drawing together players from across our Yorkshire clubs and the skill levels on show have been excellent. We can’t wait to play the second game in the series on Thursday and it’s with thanks to Chadwick Lawrence and other sponsors that we will be proudly wearing our special a Yorkshire kit.”
Not only is Dan Bell an active and dedicated member of the Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) team, but he has also been recognised for his outstanding contributions to the team by winning this year’s ‘Physical Disability Player of the Year Award.’ This award was presented to him at the Leeds Rhinos Annual Awards Dinner, an event that celebrates the achievements and commitment of players across all levels of the club.
PDRL is an inclusive format of rugby league designed for participants with physical disabilities. Combining both full contact and touch tackle rules, it gives more players the chance to experience the thrill of competitive rugby league while celebrating teamwork, resilience, and sporting spirit.
Our involvement with the Yorkshire PDRL team is part of a wider commitment to supporting sport and community initiatives across the region. From sponsoring other Yorkshire rugby clubs, to charity fundraisers, we are proud to play our part in helping rugby league thrive at every level.
We look forward to cheering on Yorkshire in the Tri-Series and wish the team every success for the season ahead.
