Team Chadwick Lawrence Get Pretty Muddy

On Saturday 13^th May, Team Chadwick Lawrence took part in the Pretty Muddy event at Thornes Park in Wakefield to raise money for Cancer Research.

Karen Ibbetson, who is part of the Dispute Resolution team, attended the event where her two daughters and their friends took part in the event to represent Chadwick Lawrence.

The team had to run a 5k route round the park, climbing over a number of obstacles on their way. One of these obstacles included a pool of mud, which the team had to crawl through on their hands and knees while being squirted with water from both sides. Other obstacles included a large inflatable slide, with yet another mud pool at the bottom, tyres, nets, hurdles, and countless buckets of cold water throughout.

Between Sarah and Emma, Karen’s two daughters, they raised over £400 for Cancer Research, with the total from the whole team still being counted.

Those running as part of team Chadwick Lawrence included Sarah and Emma Ibbetson, Sarah Heeley, Kirsty Nicholson, Amy Fox and Angie Slack.

Pretty Muddy is a unique fundraising event organised by the same team that brings the Cancer Research Race for Life events, and is open to women of any ability.
