Three New Partners and Seven New Associates at Chadwick Lawrence
11 members of staff at Chadwick Lawrence have been recognised for their hard work and dedication to Yorkshire’s Legal People in a number of promotions across the firm.
The firm has announced three new partners and seven new associates across the board as part of its ongoing development of The Chadwick Lawrence Way, recognising loyalty and dedication from the team.
Sarah Wood (Employment), Simon Ingham (Dispute Resolution) and Peter Harling (Corporate Recovery & Insolvency) have all been promoted to Partners. Jack Oldroyd and Sam Pawson (both Employment), Michelle Myers, Sue McKee and Paulette St Hilaire (all Home & Property), and Gareth Williams (Wills & Probate) have all been progressed to Associate.
Sarah Wood, based at the Wakefield office, has worked for the firm for over 20 years and has recently completed her Post-Graduate Diploma in HR Management. Sarah focuses predominantly on the delivery of Employer Support Protect (ESP) providing Employment and HR advice to a wide range of employers with a very practical and commercial edge.
Simon Ingham, based at the Leeds office, joined Chadwick Lawrence in 2005 and is an expert in contentious Probate and Land Disputes. He is also qualified in both England and Scotland.
Huddersfield Town fan Peter Harling, based at both the Leeds and Huddersfield offices specialises in all aspects of Dispute Resolution and also deals with Commercial Disputes and Corporate Recovery & Insolvency. Peter has progressed within Chadwick Lawrence very quickly, he joined the firm in 2009 and was made Associate just 12 months ago.
Golf enthusiast Jack Oldroyd, based at the Wakefield office, has been at the firm since 2005 and is responsible for a number of the firm’s high profile client’s including Leeds Rugby, Kwik-fit and Huddersfield Town.
Sam Pawson, based at both the Leeds and Wakefield offices, specialises in Sports and Employment Law, whilst also managing the firm’s commercial development and online marketing activities.
Michelle Myers, who is based at the Pudsey office as Conveyancing team leader, faced the challenge of promotion at the firm’s smallest office.
Sue McKee, team leader of the Conveyancing department at the Leeds office is very pleased to have been awarded Associate after almost 3 years with the firm.
Paulette St Hilaire, based at the Huddersfield office, is also a team leader of the significant Conveyancing department in Huddersfield.
Gareth Williams joined the firm in 2008 and is based at the Leeds office. He is an experienced member of the Wills & Probate team specialising in the administration of often high value and complex estates and the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney as well as applications to the Court of Protection.

The celebrations for the firm don’t finish there, Managing Partner, Neil Wilson, scooped the Managing Partner of the Year Award at the Yorkshire Legal Awards ceremony which took place at New Dock Hall in Leeds on the 13th October. The firm was also shortlisted for three other Legal Awards.
