Versatile Offices Launched Following Deal on Landmark Building

Chadwick Lawrence Solicitors has completed a deal that will see the relocation of one of West Yorkshire’s fastest growing businesses to a landmark commercial property in Huddersfield.

Orchard Facilities Management will move into Independence House in Edgerton in early 2017 and the building will become the company’s new UK headquarters.

The firm works with businesses nationwide looking after waste management, IT managed services, pest control, maintenance and compliance. It currently employs 30 people and is set to create a further 18 jobs in the next three years.

The deal was negotiated by Cheryl Largue partner and head of property at Chadwick Lawrence Solicitors, Gareth Henderson, managing director of Orchard Facilities Management, said Cheryl had worked hard to broker the deal, leading discussions with the banks and vendors.

“Cheryl was extremely proactive throughout and pulled everything together, helping us secure the property which will support the future growth of our business,” said Gareth.

Gareth said Independence House would give Orchard Facilities Management space to grow and become a national player in the FM industry with a head office in Kirklees.

He also plans to set up a growth incubator in the building to help fledgling businesses establish and thrive, fulfilling a personal aspiration to provide local start-ups with a nurturing environment.

Larger suites and full floors will be let to other businesses to create a vibrant working environment for a variety of local organisations.

Cheryl Largue said the new offices were in a prime location for local businesses, on the main Halifax Road within easy reach of Junction 24 of the M62.

“I am delighted that Chadwick Lawrence has been able to secure this property on behalf of Orchard Facilities Management and the quality and variety of office accommodation now being made available is really impressive,” said Cheryl.
