Chadwick Lawrence Sponsors the 120th Anniversary Dinner and Gala Variety Performance
Chadwick Lawrence was the main sponsors for the 120th Anniversary Dinner and Gala Variety Performance at the Theatre Royal Wakefield. This unique celebration was to mark the 120th year since the theatre’s doors opened in 1894; the night helped to raise funds towards the Theatre Trust for future improvements of the striking Grade II listed building.
Representatives of Chadwick Lawrence joined the other 290 guests at the stunning, newly refurbished Unity Hall for a delicious three course Anniversary Gala Dinner, before moving to the Theatre to join an additional 200 guests to enjoy the sell out variety performance.
Among the performers was The Voice contestant Frances Wood, who described the event as a great evening, she commented “The event enabled me to perform alongside a fantastic live band to such a warm audience. I couldn’t think of a better event for my debut performance of my new music, it feels great to be a part of history and I am honoured that I was able to perform at the Theatres 120th anniversary. Overall it was a great evening!”
Joining Frances was fellow contestant Sophie May Williams, comedian Billy Pearce and actress Verity Rushworth, all of whom joined in the celebrations at Unity Hall following the show.
Chadwick Lawrence’s sponsorship of the event displays their passion and commitment to Wakefield and the thriving business within the city, together with Charitable causes and the arts. Partner andDispute Resolution and Criminal Solicitor Tim Welton was among the organising committee for the entire event. Due to the success of a great night, raising over £20,000 for the Theatre Trust, the Royal Theatre Wakefield are considering running the Anniversary Gala evening again next year.
Thank you to everyone involved.
