Partner at Chadwick Lawrence awarded MBA prize
Sarah Crowther, Partner and Department Head at News celebrated her graduation with a Master Degree from the University of Huddersfield. Not only was Sarah awarded a Master of Business Administration Degree but also received recognition for her efforts by being awarded a prize from the Leadership and Management Department of the Business School.
Sarah has been studying part time for her MBA degree at the Huddersfield of University Business School since 2011 as well as heading up the News and Probate Department at the Yorkshire based solicitors firm. The Radicon Prize was awarded for Sarah’s success in her part time study.
In a bid to bolster business knowledge and expertise in non-legal subjects such as Human Resources Management, Finance and Personal Development, the firm has referred to attend the course in order to develop more rounded skills which can widely applied across the firm.
Sarah Crowther commented “I felt it was important for me to develop my skills in Business Management as these are not areas which are covered within any of the legal training. The modules I have studied have helped me significantly with the management of the departments which I run. Also, as a divorce Solicitor, I regularly act for a lot of business owners and the business knowledge I have acquired has proved invaluable in dealing with their cases. I am delighted to have been chosen for the prize.”
Neil Wilson, Managing Partner at Chadwick Lawrence also commented “we have a positive relationship with the University and also now with the Business School. This is one which we wish to progress through developing the skills of our wider team. I wish to congratulate Sarah on her achievement which is hard earned”.
