Yorkshire’s Legal People Host Festival Of Cycling
News last night opened the doors to their Huddersfield office in St George’s Square to host VIP’s and guests for annual cycling festival, the Fantastic Media Huddersfield Criterium. As official hospitality partners of the event, the firm’s offices were used as race headquarters for the competitors as well hospitality for over 100 VIP guests, including the Town Mayor and Tour de France winner Brian Robinson.
Yorkshire’s Legal People provided hospitality on the evening for a number of influential business people throughout the region including guests from sponsors; Fantastic Media, Grand Central, Enterprise Inns, One17 and Avocet to name but a few. Other notable attendees at the event were the Town Mayor, Cllr Paul Kane and former Tour de France stage winner, Brian Robinson. Guests were able to network and enjoy the event in a relaxed atmosphere in the Chadwick Lawrence boardroom whilst being treated to refreshments supplied by the firm.
The VIP area was perfectly located on the start and finish line of the Criterium circuit allowing VIP guests to get up close to the riders as they crossed the finish line. The area also hosted local media including BBC Radio Leeds and the Huddersfield Examiner.
The evening’s action showcased some of Britain’s most talented amateur and professional riders including Pete Williams of the OnePro Cycling team and Team GB’s Gabriel Cullaigh going head to head in a tense finale of the evening’s main event, the Elite race. The event was extremely well attended with over 700 spectators lining the streets and enjoying the cycling, generating a carnival atmosphere.
Chadwick Lawrence Managing Partner, Neil Wilson commented on the event “It was a pleasure to be able to host VIP guests and sponsors for the Criterium. Our offices were situated perfectly on the finishing straight allowing guests to enjoy the hospitality as well as providing a superb viewing point for the races. It was a fantastic evening for all involved and we were delighted to be a part of the event.”
Huddersfield Criterium race organiser, Martyn Bolt was extremely grateful for the support received from Chadwick Lawrence. He stated, “A big thanks must go to Neil and the team at Chadwick Lawrence for providing their hospitality for our sponsors, competitors and VIP guests. They played a huge part in the success of the event and helped to put on a great show for the Town. The annual event is now gaining some real momentum and we look forward to next year.”
