Chadwick Lawrence named a finalist at the Yorkshire Business Hero Awards
Chadwick Lawrence was thrilled to be recognised as a finalist for two awards at the Yorkshire Business Hero Awards last week.
We secured top three positions in the Legal Employer of the Year and Young Professional Female Leader of the Year categories, in recognition of our contributions to the local business community.
The Yorkshire Business Hero Awards, which took place on 24 April at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, was created by The National Business Hero Awards to honour and celebrate the incredible achievements of individuals and businesses making a lasting impact in their area.
In the Legal Employer of the Year category, we received recognition for our commitment to career progression and employee wellbeing. Over the last ten years, our culture has seen a rapid transformation as we have become a modern, inclusive and innovative workplace under the leadership of our Managing Partner, Neil Wilson.
Additionally, an encompassing support package is given to our employees, which includes progression schemes, funded training, access to an online training platform and training academy. The wellbeing of the team is prioritised through an in-house health portal, wellness events and mental health support. In recognition of this, we secured a spot on the Sunday Times’ Best Place to Work in 2024.
Neil Wilson, Managing Partner said: “To reach the final three in two different categories at the Yorkshire Business Hero Awards is testament to the hard work and dedication of our team here at Chadwick Lawrence. A special shout out to Zuzanna, who continues to raise the bar through her determination and commitment to learning. Congratulations to Zuzanna and of course to all those shortlisted and the winners on the night.”
Zuzanna Kazimierczak, ACCA, MAAT, our Financial Controller, also received a position in the final three for Young Professional Female Leader of the Year. Zuzanna is passionate about the legal sector and the impact of ESG on the business and society, and leads our financial operations and reporting, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.
Zuzanna plays a key role in contributing to Chadwick Lawrence’s growth and success, working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Having worked here for almost six years, she has progressed from a Financial Assistant through the ranks to Financial Controller very quickly and achieved both her AAT and ACCA accountancy qualifications.
Reflecting on her achievement, Zuzanna said: “I’m incredibly honoured to be shortlisted as one of the final three for the Young Professional Female Leader of the Year award. It’s a privilege to be recognised alongside such inspiring professionals. Thank you to everyone at Chadwick Lawrence for the support and encouragement throughout my journey.”
Take a look at our other achievements from over the years.
