Residential evictions and the COVID-19 pandemic
On 11 January 2021 The Public Health (Coronavirus) (Protection from Eviction) (England) Regulations 2021 came into force. Subject to some exemptions, these regulations prevented attendance at a dwelling house until 22 February 2021, for the purpose of delivering a notice of eviction or executing a writ or warrant of possession in England.
On 14 February 2021, a press release was issued confirming that these measures would continue until 31 March this year, including the exemptions.
