Chadwick Lawrence Proud Sponsors Of Woman Of The Year Award At 30th Yorkshire Awards

Yorkshire’s Legal People, Chadwick Lawrence, were proud sponsors at this year’s Yorkshire Awards as the celebration entered into its 30^th Year.

For three decades, the Yorkshire Awards have been recognising those who have had a positive impact on Yorkshire and its people, demonstrating their affection for, and real commitment to the county.

A committee representing the interests of the award’s sponsors, under the Chairmanship of Sir Rodney Walker, consider nominations and collectively decide the most deserving winners.

Categories for the evening include awards celebrating community heroes, arts and entertainment, lifetime achievement and sporting achievement. Chadwick Lawrence, this year, had the honour of sponsoring the Woman of the Year award which recognises the outstanding woman who has made the greatest individual contribution to life in the County.

Previous winners of this award include the Duchess of Kent, Jane Tomlinson and Ann Hough, Operations Director at Huddersfield Town. This year’s award was presented to Baroness Warsi, lawyer, politician and member of the House of Lords. She was presented the award for her contribution to the Yorkshire community, her political, social and unification efforts, and her positive representation of the area within parliament.

The celebration of Yorkshire and the communities within it took place at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds on the 12^th October.

Other winners of the evening included both the BBC and ITV for the Arts and Entertainment awards, Jack Laugher for the Sporting Achievement award and Ben Davis for Man of the Year, amongst many others.
