Yorkshire’s Legal People shaping the legal minds of the future.
Paralegal and apprentice Joshua Smith of Chadwick Lawrence has been chosen for a scheme which will see him sharing his experiences and encouraging others to pursue a career in law, as an Apprentice Ambassador.
Through the National Apprenticeship service, the Leeds Apprenticeship HUB has approached the 20 year old to take part in a programme which aims to train current apprentices to become Apprenticeship Ambassadors. Following this, Joshua will then have the opportunity to attend school and college visits, exhibitions and careers fairs and speak directly with parents and like-minded students about the apprenticeship scheme, as well as discuss his time and experiences with Yorkshire’s Legal People – Chadwick Lawrence.
Joshua Smith commented on the recent news; “I am delighted to have been approached regarding this scheme and will be starting my training imminently. Attending these events as an ambassador, means I will get the chance to share my experiences with others and spread the word about the apprenticeship scheme here at Chadwick Lawrence.”
Neil Wilson, Managing Partner at Chadwick Lawrence followed by saying; “We are extremely proud of our apprenticeship scheme and are seeing a number of colleagues progressing their careers through this training route. It’s essential for us to promote the programme directly to the students, and what better way to do this than through a chosen ambassador from our firm who is taking the on the journey himself.”
Joshua has been with the firm for 2 years, working full time on the apprenticeship scheme. He is currently based at Leeds office within the News team and has worked within the employment department in Leeds as well.
